Sanaka's CV06 Portable

My new "Weapon of Massive Suction"! No matter how good your collection is, it's kinda self-defeating later if you get exposed to that dust when emptying the barrel. This pretty much solves that problem by being able to use a trashcan with a liner bag in it. Also, the barrel doesn't need to resist imploding under vacuum - it experiences no pressure differential. When the can gets full, I take it out and cinch up the liner bag just like any trash. So, dust exposure is minimized!

I really wanted to be able to use a regular trash can with regualr trash bags/liners, so I can neatly dispose of the dust and shavings. If you have to dump out the can, you get exposed to everything you collected anyway - a little self-defeating. The piec

It houses houses the filter (duh!). The pipe out of the cyclone terminates with the U-bend because this seemed like it would deliver the air evenly around the filter instead of favoring one side.

The sealing lip of the filter fits in this properly sized hole, which opens into the box where the vacuum motor head is.

This fitted shim slides under the filter and wedges it upward to make it seal in the hole.
