A new media blasting cabinet --- vastly improved with a Mini CV06 !

as ordered this media blasting cabinet was a good value, but
its extraction system was terribly designed. i had more expelled media & waste on my shop floor than in the cabinet itself! in a machine shop this was inexcusable, until i found Ed & gang at Clearview to initiate my solution . . . . .

Sandblasting Interest

I've built a small side-business using my sandblaster. It's a hobby that's gotten out of control. I currently run a 150lb Empire pressure pot and have a cabinet about the size of yours. I use a 50/50 mix of 150-180 grit silicon carbide and aluminum oxide. Until now I've used a basic shop vac to control dust in the cabinet with decent results, but I really feel I need to add to my dust control and hopefully reclaim more media as well. What media do you blast with and how do you like the results with the mini CV? Are you using a Rigid shop vac as your vacuum source or something more high powered? Do you use a hepa filter? How often do you need to change that? The mini CV looks awesome for woodworking, but sandblasting is a little different? Any insights would be great!! Thanks-
Matt
