There are also some gaps at the sides of the blower housing PTEG to transition that also seem to big for caulk alone. The PTEG can be screwed to the sides of the transition walls from the inside, but since the PTEG is trapped in the blower housing slots, tring to pull it outward to the transition sidewalls seems questionable. So some more 0.04" plastic was used to shim out the sides to fill the gaps.
